We at SBC think that the preservation and conservation of our work is&nbsp;very important and therefore we fully support the National Belgian Film Archive, which by the way is reputated among the best in&nbsp;the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bulk of the CINEMATEK collection is made up of films produced on celluloid\u00a0stock. The conservation and maintenance of these is a manual task\u00a0requiring specialised tools such as editing tables and cleaning machines. The digitisation of the cinema means that these are no longer\u00a0being produced. One of the final remaining companies specialised in this\u00a0field is now shutting up shop and selling off the last of its machines. This precious equipment helps us to preserve the more than 250,000\u00a0copies of our collective film collection. Please help the Cinematek to seize this final\u00a0opportunity by contributing to the \u20ac25,000 it requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A crowdfunding has been set up to be able to buy the last available film verification tables. SBC as an asssociation has decided to donate 1000 Euro for this.
