Hichame Alaouie was awarded the 2013 Magritte du cinema for his photography on the film by John Shank: L’hiver dernier. Other nominated cinematographers were Danny Elsen for Dead men talking and Remon Fromont for La folie Almayer .

A perdre la raison by director Joachim Lafosse and shot by Jean Francois Hensgens received the best film award.
