Arri Alexa tests

Most new digital cameras have problem with near red or infrared, resulting in magenta color shifts and milkier blacks. Vincent Visser did a test using the new Arri Alexa camera at Camerarentals Amsterdam to determine when and how this problem arises and how to solve it. read more.

Stijn Van Der Veken made a short testmovie with the new ARRI ALEXA camera on the 3rd & 4th of June 2010 in Antwerp, Brussels & Sint-Truiden with the support of ARRI. The aspect ratio is 2.35:1 recorded on ProRes 422 (HQ) and HDCam SR (SQ) at the same time. He used Master Prime lenses, an UP 8R, a Master Macro 100mm and the new ARRI Alura Zoom 18-80mm. Most of the shots were shot on 400 & 800 asa, 25 fps & 50 fps, log C (no matrix). No lens filtering except ND.
